Working predominantly with moving image and photography I am interested in how duration affects our ability as viewers to engage with time-based material. What happens to our sense of passing linear time when duration is compressed, expanded or looped?

In any dialogue between differing temporalities, I am interested in the fleeting moments of synchronicity where these temporalities align. How is that convergence accounted for in documentation? What happens when ‘incidental conversation’ is recorded? How does the recording of an event deny its authenticity?
